ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Jeff — a nature and wildlife photographer from the wild landscapes of Utah. I was born and raised in the granite-walled canyons of the Wasatch Mountains, and my roots run deep in its mountain lifestyle.

I’m a long-time paraglider pilot, snowboarding pioneer, outdoor enthusiast, and, at my core, a photographer. I picked up a camera as a young man hoping to capture the adventures I was chasing. Instead, the world opened up to me through its magical lens, and I found myself in constant awe of the beauty unfolding around me.

For more than three decades now, I’ve been behind the camera, pursuing wilderness encounters across the earth. That sense of awe hasn’t faded, but with it has come a stronger understanding of responsibility — a duty to protect the landscapes that give us so much. My goal is to create images that inspire care, spark action, and help us work toward balance for all living things.

To me, it’s always about more than the picture; it’s about the story carried inside it. Capturing photographs in the wild is rarely comfortable. It’s cold, painful, exhausting, and often demands experiences that test the body and the nerves. But it’s in that difficulty — when the landscape drops its polite veneer — that meaningful images are born. Those are the moments I chase, and those are the stories I strive to share. So come and join me. Peer into my images, and hear the hidden stories required to create them.
